Inspired by Genesis 1:20-1:23
“Then God said, “Let the waters teem with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of the heavens.” 21 And God created the great sea creatures and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind; and God saw that it was good. 22 God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.” 23 And there was evening and there was morning, a fifth day.”
I sculpted this sea turtle in Zbrush, did the UVs in Maya, textured it in Substance 3D Painter, used Megascans to create the environment, rendered, made the bubble VFX, and constructed the composition in Unreal Engine 5, and did finishing touches for the images in Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro for the video. I am trying to learn animation and am proud of how I figured out how to rig, bind, paint skin weights, animate in Maya, and then transfer the animation into Unreal. I really pushed myself on this project, making the entire thing start to finish in around 5 days. Hope you enjoy it!
